The Sweetwater Union High School District (SUHSD) is currently administering a survey to parents and community members to assess their perceptions of SUHSD and to receive feedback about various factors related to the district’s overall climate. – Click here to view the survey.  

SUHSD has partnered with Hanover Research to administer and analyze this survey. Hanover Research is an independent market research firm based in Washington, D.C., and is in no way affiliated with any other entity or organization. Your responses to this survey are completely anonymous and will be kept strictly confidential. The survey should take approximately 15 minutes to complete.

Congratulations Angel Leal on your scholarship from ScholasTIC. Angel Leal is currently our ASB President. He has been a great leader, role model, mentor, student, and friend. Angel will be graduating this year and will begin taking classes at Southwestern College to become a firefighter. In addition to being a full-time student, Angel holds a part-time job and is a cadet for the San Diego Fire Fighter’s Cadet Program. He has created a presentation to educate his peers about Tourette’s Syndrome and has expanded his presentation to educate Olympian High School Students. Congratulations Angel. We are extremely proud of you!!!

High School Transition Class

CONGRATULATIONS to our High School Transition Class. They have been working dilengently all year on creating resumes, practicing interview and other soft skills, and learning about post-school opportunities. Their hard work has paid off. As part of their final exam, they participated in a district wide interview workshop. Several members of the district and community interviewed students and graded them on a rubric. This morning, our East Hills Academy students were named the Sweetwater Interview Workshop 2016 Champions. Congratulations Selena Alcantara, Enrique Eloy, Angel Leal, Jonathan Lopez, Jared Smith, Jericho Ronquillo, and their teacher Mrs. Kiepler and staff Ms. Vazques and Mr. Vasquez. We are proud of you!
