East Hills Academy and The Sweetwater District are excited to welcome back students, families and staff to full-time, in-person instruction for the 2021-2022 school year on July 21, 2021! We hope everyone enjoyed a restful summer. Wednesday will be a minimum day with start time at 8:35 am and dismissal at 1:18 pm. Full days will continue thereafter with the same start time and dismissal at 3:50 pm.
As students and staff prepare for the new school year, the continued health and safety of all is our priority. Protocols such as face coverings, self-check health screenings, hygienic procedures, and increased air circulation in classrooms and buses will continue to be in effect. Additionally, these enhanced health and safety protocols will be implemented in our extra-curricular activities such as athletics, visual and performing arts and after school programs.
EHA & SUHSD continue to monitor guidance from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), and will inform parents, students, staff and the community of changes in health and safety practices if/when guidance is changed in a manner that impacts the SUHSD community.
On July 1, 2021, the district sent out a communication regarding student vaccinations, which is one of the most effective means of protection against COVID-19. Please click here to access: Vaccination Letter to Families
While you can anticipate further communications from the district, click here to review the FAQ regarding protocols. Should you have further questions, please contact our school site, or if you are parent in the district, contact the Sweetwater Parent Hotline at 619-934-5099 Monday – Fridays through July 16, from 8am to 4pm.
If you have not yet registered for 21-22 school year, please contact the main office on Monday, July 19th, 2021 to schedule time to complete registration. Students need to be registered before the 21st in order to start the first day.
Again, thank you for all you do on behalf of the students and families in our district. Welcome to the new school year, we are looking forward to an exciting and successful school year!
